Poems

The Lumen Seed (NY: Daylight Books, 2016) is now out of print, so I’m offering it to everyone free of charge as a pdf or on my academia.edu page as an ePub HERE (WordPress doesn’t support ePub). This is a collection of photographs and poems created in the Tanami desert while travelling with Warlpiri friends. It feels like quite an old book to me now, as my whole art practice has changed since this was released. Some of the people in this book have now passed away, so please be careful if you’re an Aboriginal person. At the time of publication, nobody was kumanjai and I had permission to use everyone’s image.

Three poems from The Dingo’s Noctuary, in Verity La— Vision 1 Fitzroy Crossing; Vision 2 The Mongrels; Language of the Birds.

First Descent of the Snake, or How Billy Graham was the Devil in the 1970s (Hecate Journal)

Two Poems in Rochfort Street Review-– The Boabs; Elegy for a Thylacine in the National Museum

Blake Poetry Prize winning entry — On Finding Charlotte in the Anthropological Record

Maralinga (Demos Journal)

Five Threnodies for Maralinga (Axon Journal)
